Аннотация

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a common inherited retinal disorder characterized by the progressive degeneration of photoreceptors and retinal pigment epithelial cells. Here, we report the generation of a human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line, CSUASOi013-A, derived from blood-derived cells of a patient clinically diagnosed with RP carrying a heterozygous duplication of exons 2-13 in the pre-mRNA processing factor 31 (PRPF31) gene (NM_015629.3). The CSUASOi013-A iPSC line exhibits typical pluripotent stem cell morphology, expresses key markers of the undifferentiated state of hPSCs, and retains the disease-associated genetic alteration. This patient-specific iPSC line provides a valuable in vitro resource for studying PRPF31-related RP.
