Efficacy and safety of telitacicept for myasthenia gravis in real-world practice and exploratory outcomes in the elderly subgroup.
Аннотация
OBJECTIVE
To assess the efficacy and safety of telitacicept in myasthenia gravis (MG), focusing on elderly patients.
METHODS
Sixteen MG patients receiving weekly telitacicept (160 mg) for 3 months were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTS
Telitacicept significantly improved Myasthenia Gravis Activities of Daily Living (MG-ADL), from 7.31 ± 5.02 to 1.13 ± 1.20 (p < 0.001), and Quantitative Myasthenia Gravis (QMG), from 14.81 ± 7.04 to 4.75 ± 2.27 (p < 0.001). Although not statistically significant, elderly patients showed a trend toward greater reductions in MG-ADL (-5.43 vs -3.56 at 1 month, p = 0.41; -7.29 vs -5.33 at 3 months, p = 0.54) and QMG (-8.86 vs -5.33 at 1 month, p = 0.32; -11.14 vs -9.22 at 3 months, p = 0.65). Minimal symptom expression (MSE) was 81.25%, reaching 100% in elderly patients. Immunoglobulin levels (p < 0.001), CD19+ B-cell percentages (p < 0.01), autoantibody titers (p < 0.01), and corticosteroid dosage (p < 0.05) decreased significantly.
CONCLUSION
Telitacicept is a safe, effective MG add-on therapy. Elderly patients show a potential trend toward greater improvement, warranting larger studies.
