Аннотация
This case report details two clinical rarities of malignant melanoma isolated to the prostate and lung. Prostate melanoma is scarce in literature and predominantly a metastatic finding. However, rare cases of primary prostatic melanoma are reported. Primary lung melanoma is also rare. This case began after surgical correction of an inguinal bladder hernia complicated by postoperative, refractory clot urinary retention; ultimately requiring simple prostatectomy with pathology revealing malignant melanoma. Coinciding biopsy of a solitary pulmonary nodule revealed melanoma. This case details melanoma of the prostate or lung with unknown primary and solitary metastasis incidentally uncovered during simple prostatectomy.
