[Diagnostic algorithm for chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis in elderly patients.].

This article discusses the features of the diagnosis of chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis in elderly patients. This problem is associated with age-related changes in physiology and anatomical features of the nasal structures and paranasal sinuses. The article substantiates the need to study the manifestations of endothelial dysfunction as a link in the pathogenesis of the development of chronic pathology. The article provides an example of developing a diagnostic algorithm using modern technologies in the form of a computer program. The study involved 109 people aged 60-72 with chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis and without this pathology (comparison group). D-dimer, cystatin C, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, and homocysteine were selected as markers of endothelial dysfunction. Based on these markers, a diagnostic mathematical model and computer program were developed.
