Аннотация

Dermatology has a huge challenge when treating skin infections caused by germs such Cutibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Natural bioactive substances originating from plant sources may be employed as therapeutic agents to treat certain disorders is gaining popularity. In this study, we evaluated the potential of bioactive chemicals of Zanthoxylum armatum fruit to fight these skin-infectious bacteria using in-silico methods. Many of the bioactive chemicals like nevadensin, beta-sitosterol, beta-sitosterolglucoside, and trans-alpha-bergamotene from Z. armatum exhibited strong binding affinities with important bacterial proteins. Promising antibacterial properties are demonstrated by the ethanolic extract of Z. armatum against S. epidermidis, S. aureus, and C. acnes. The ethanol extract demonstrated stability and efficacy under stress conditions like heat, UV, and pH. The ethanol extract, with its superior antibacterial activity and resilience, emerges as a promising candidate for the development of anti-acne formulations.
