Аннотация
BACKGROUND: Hemangioblastomas are rare, benign tumors of the central nervous system, most commonly affecting the cerebellum, brainstem, and spinal cord. They are often associated with von Hippel-Lindau disease but can also occur sporadically.
CASE DESCRIPTION: This case report presents a 60-year-old male with a sporadic solid hemangioblastoma of the cerebellar vermis, detailing his clinical presentation, radiological findings, surgical management, and postoperative outcome.
CONCLUSION: Although rare, these tumors should be considered in the differential diagnosis of posterior fossa masses in adults. Gross total excision is curative with a good prognosis.
