Effect of Comfortable Nursing Mode on Perioperative Nursing Effect and Quality of Life of Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Myomectomy.

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the effect of comfortable nursing mode on the perioperative nursing effect and quality of life of patients undergoing laparoscopic myomectomy.

METHODS

A total of 150 patients with uterine fibroids who were admitted and treated with laparoscopic myomectomy in our hospital from April 2020 to December 2021 were enrolled. The patients in the control group (n = 75) received routine nursing while those in the experimental group (n = 75) received comfortable nursing. The nursing effect, quality of life, and patient satisfaction of the two groups of patients before and after nursing intervention were compared.

RESULTS

The length of hospital stay in the experimental group (6.25 ± 0.55 days) was significantly shorter than the control group (8.91 ± 0.85 days) (P < .05). After nursing intervention, patients in the experimental group had significantly higher awareness compared to the control group (P < .05). The scores of physiological, psychological, environmental, and social dimensions of the patients in the experimental group (10.45 ± 2.14, 19.58 ± 2.44, 25.58 ± 3.12, and 23.51 ± 3.26, respectively) were higher than those in the control group (7.41 ± 1.98, 16.59 ± 2.15, 20.41 ± 2.98, and 20.87 ± 3.14, respectively), and the total score was also significantly higher in the experimental group (P < .05). After the intervention, the psychological state scores of the two groups decreased, and the SAS and SDS scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group (P < .05). The experimental group reported significantly lower incidence of complications (2.63%) compared to the control group (14.67%) (P < .05), while patients in the experimental group were more satisfied compared to the control group, P < .05.

CONCLUSION

Comfortable nursing model might be a viable option for patients with laparoscopic myomectomy and deserves wider application in clinical practice.
