Аннотация
BACKGROUND: Tarlov cysts rarely cause radiculopathy and typically do not warrant operative intervention.
CASE DESCRIPTION: A 50-year-old female with chronic low back pain radiating into both lower extremities had revealed perineural cysts from S1 to S3 on her magnetic resonance imaging scan. Treatment with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and gabapentin resulted in good symptomatic improvement.
CONCLUSION: Tarlov cysts are typically incidental findings and rarely cause radiculopathy. Conservative treatment is the standard management, with very few warranting surgical intervention.
