Imaging trends in diabetic foot infections.
Аннотация
Diabetic foot infections are a common complication of diabetes, associated with significant risks of amputation, recurrence and high treatment costs. Imaging plays an increasingly important role in determining medical and surgical planning. Advanced imaging such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and hybrid molecular imaging such as single photon emission computed tomography with computed tomography (SPECT/CT) and positron emission tomography with CT (PET/CT), play an important role in the diagnosis of osteomyelitis and in treatment planning. This review explores the state-of-the-art and future trends for clinical and imaging practices in diabetic foot infections.
