Sublabral Foramen: An Anatomical Variation of Glenoid Labrum in a Patient with Superior Labrum Anteroposterior Lesion with Paralabral Cyst and Acromioclavicular Joint Arthritis.
Аннотация
Shoulder pathologies, particularly superior labral lesions, and may pose diagnostic and management challenges by anatomical variations such as sublabral foramen. We describe a case of a 36-year-old cricketer with acromioclavicular arthritis and a superior labrum anteroposterior lesion (SLAP) lesion accompanied by a paralabral cyst. Arthroscopic intervention revealed an incidental sublabral foramen. Surgical repair addressed the SLAP lesion with paralabral cyst decompression and acromioclavicular arthritis. The patient experienced significant postoperative improvement, resuming cricketing activities without limitations. Recognition of anatomical variants is crucial for accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment, enhancing patient outcomes. Simultaneous management of associated SLAP lesions optimizes long-term results and patient satisfaction.
