Аннотация
Occupational Health Services (OHS) play a critical role in evaluating and protecting health care personnel (HCP) from occupational exposure to communicable diseases. In this article, updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices guidance on preplacement evaluations, tuberculosis screening, routine health care immunizations, work restrictions, and postexposure quarantine and isolation guidelines are reviewed. Additional information is provided on emerging infections. Commonly cited references supporting HCP health are provided as well as immunity documentation, immunization recommendations, and recommended work restrictions after known or suspected exposure and/or diagnosis of infectious illnesses.
