Scoliosis correction surgery is a complex procedure aimed at rectifying the spinal lateral curvature and rotation. Perioperative anesthetic management is a critical determinant of both surgical success and patient safety. As surgical and anesthetic techniques continue to advance, scoliosis correction has become increasingly established in clinical practice. However, there remains a paucity of standardized guidelines specifically addressing anesthetic practices in this procedure. This article aims to review several frequently encountered challenges during the perioperative phase of scoliosis correction surgery, with a particular emphasis on anesthetic considerations.
