Аннотация
Kindness can seem out of place in contemporary health care systems often shaped by efficiency, industrial logic, and digital surveillance. Yet kindness - understood not as sentiment but as a deliberate practice of kinship expressed in action - is essential to care, the core mission of healthcare. We argue that careful care (individualised, evidence-based, responsive) must be inseparable from kind care (care offered as if to one's kin, respectful of each person's time, energy and attention). The convergence of hyper-clinical fragmentation and hyper-technological optimisation risks producing technically competent but emotionally barren systems that reduce patients to data and clinicians to compliance managers. This erosion of relational practice contributes to moral injury, inequity, and loss of trust. Kindness requires structural conditions - time, continuity, supportive leadership - and must be cultivated intentionally at every health system level. A forward-facing model of careful and kind care would treat unhurried, co-creative, relational conversations as essential work. In an era drifting toward artificial care, kindness is not nostalgic; it is a strategic and radical re-imagining of health care's future.
