Аннотация
Arthrobacter species are Gram-positive, aerobic, nonmotile, and nonspore-forming bacilli widely distributed in the environment. Several species within this genus are recognized as opportunistic pathogens, and sporadic cases of clinical infections caused by Arthrobacter spp. have been reported. Arthrobacter flavus is a psychrophilic bacterium with an optimal growth temperature of 25°C. To our knowledge, no human isolates of A. flavus have been previously documented. Here, we present a case of pyogenic spondylitis caused by A. flavus and provide a comprehensive literature review of clinical infections attributable to Arthrobacter species.
