Аннотация

Craniosynostosis typically presents as a congenital condition. Acquired forms secondary to childhood cranial trauma remain exceptionally rare in medical literature. We report the case of a 2-year-old female patient who developed progressive scaphocephaly following a head injury at 5 months of age. Clinical and radiological examinations confirmed an acquired sagittal craniosynostosis. The patient successfully underwent surgical reshaping of the cranial vault to correct the deformity. At the 1-year post-operative follow-up, excellent cranial remodeling, stable esthetic results, and normal psychomotor development were achieved. This case highlights that post-traumatic craniosynostosis can occur during early childhood, necessitating careful clinical monitoring after pediatric head trauma.
