Аннотация
Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is a very rarely seen complication of adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD). As there are only a select few documented cases of this complication in the medical literature, its typical course and response to treatment are yet to be fully understood. We report a case of a 36-year-old woman with adult-onset Still's disease complicated by severe pure red cell aplasia. Treatment of the underlying Still's disease with glucocorticoids, IL-1 inhibitors, and tocilizumab improved the clinical features of the patient's disease; however, the patient remained with severe transfusion-dependent anaemia. The initiation of cyclosporine led to rapid remission of the pure red cell aplasia.
