Аннотация
Transradial arterial access has emerged as a transformative approach for endovascular interventions. Compared to transfemoral access, it is a less invasive technique that reduces bleeding and access site complications. Total wrist access (radial, distal radial, or ulnar) can typically be safely performed in most patients across various peripheral vascular territories. A current limitation is the incompatibility with large-bore devices and the limited availability of dedicated, lower profile, long devices for more distal femoral and popliteal regions. The assessment should be done individually, tailoring the access in specific patient population in order to achieve the best risk-to-benefit balance.
