Аннотация
Posterior medial meniscal root tears represent a clinically significant injury with biomechanical consequences comparable to total meniscectomy, underscoring the need for effective repair strategies to restore joint function and prevent degeneration. Current meniscal root repair techniques vary in biomechanical performance, with different constructs demonstrating trade-offs between ultimate failure load and resistance to cyclic displacement. Although constructs with higher failure loads may appear advantageous, emerging evidence suggests that cyclic stability may be more critical for maintaining repair integrity under repetitive physiologic loading. In addition, technical factors such as procedural complexity, reproducibility, and efficiency play an important role in clinical outcomes and may outweigh differences observed in controlled laboratory settings. Together, these considerations emphasize the need to align biomechanical performance with clinical applicability. Ultimately, successful meniscal root repair should not prioritize maximal construct strength alone but instead focus on achieving durable function through a balance of strength, stability, and surgical feasibility.
