Аннотация
Aplasia cutis congenita (ACC) represents a rare group of disorders that, due to their infrequent occurrence, can pose challenges in diagnosis. It commonly presents as an isolated defect on the scalp and affects the dermal and epidermal layers of the skin. While the prognosis for isolated ACC without underlying defects is generally benign, life-threatening complications like sagittal sinus bleeding or secondary infections can occur. Our case report highlights a case of type 5 aplasia cutis with associated fetus papyraceous in the surviving twin of a dichorial diamniotic pregnancy. This case report sheds light on an aspect of paediatric dermatology that remains unfamiliar to many healthcare professionals and highlights key principles of management.
