Fluorescent Tri(biphenyl-4-yl)Amine-Derived Molecule for Sensing of Chloromethanes, and Picric Acid, Breaking of J-Type Aggregates and White Light-Emitting Diode Investigations.
Аннотация
Volatile chlorinated solvents, including dichloromethane, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride, are highly toxic to humans and other living organisms. Accurate recognition and discrimination are vital for both environmental and industrial aspects. Conversely, the contamination of nitroaromatic explosive molecules in air and drinking water raises serious health hazards, such as respiratory organ damage and skin irritation. Sensing of picric acid (PA), one of the toxic and explosive nitroaromatic molecules, is essential. To address these problems, we synthesized a triarylamine-derived fluorescent organic molecule (TBA-HZ) and explored its ability to identify both chlorinated solvents and nitroaromatic compounds (NACs) in solution form. Grinding the TBA-HZ solid with various metal salts confirms the ion-dipole interactions of the amine group and anion in rupturing the J-type aggregates in the solid state. The electroluminescence behavior of the TBA-HZ molecule polymer film, when doped onto a near-ultraviolet LED, resulted in a yellowish-white emission. Furthermore, a thin coating of TBA-HZ coupled with a polymer doped with a red phosphor on a blue LED produced white light.
