Аннотация

Recurrent assisted reproductive technology failure has increasingly prompted efforts to identify embryologic markers that might better explain failed implantation and improve prediction beyond conventional embryo morphology alone. Clinicians should be cautious about overinterpreting embryologic findings as fixed biological predictors. Outside of rare and highly specific phenotypes such as invariant meiotic maturation arrest, total fertilization failure, or reproducible cleavage arrest suggestive of a monogenic etiology, most embryologic abnormalities observed in a single cycle or even across a limited number of cycles do not justify deterministic counseling about reproductive potential. The current evidence supports a more measured approach: use these tools to inform embryo selection within a cycle, recognize their limitations in forecasting future reproductive trajectory, and counsel patients that repeated assisted reproductive technology failure is often multifactorial, probabilistic, and incompletely explained by any single embryologic metric.
