Role of alpha-terpineol modulating pathway nitric oxide into coronary tissues: A confluent mechanism for the cardioprotection?
Аннотация
INTRODUCTION
The coronary artery is a crucial pathway to heart functions, due to its role in maintaining levels of oxygen and nutrients to the heart's work. In contrast, myocardial infarction is a disease of high prevalence around the world. Involvement of the oxygen supply to the heart triggers ischemia-reperfusion in the physiopathology of myocardial infarction, occluded by thrombi. Alpha-terpineol (TPN) is a majoritary showed cardioprotection against myocardial infarction in vivo, mechanisms are directed to hearts and may affect coronary tone.
AIMS OF THE STUDY: to investigate whether TPN can modulate vascular effects on coronary vessels.
MATERIAL AND
METHODS
In vivo, in vitro, and in sílico approaches, through histopathology of coronary arteries post-mortem, mounting coronary artery isolated and perfused by myograph, cells culture of the endothelium explant, and molecular docking to confirm studies with fragments of vessels.
RESULTS
TPN induces vasorelaxation independent of endothelium presence. In the culture of endothelial cells, TPN induces growth directly by the production of NO. TPN showed ability of the modulate actions directly on coronary tissues, as a vasodilator and agent that restores endothelial cell growth.
CONCLUSION
this report demonstrates that TPN is able to modulate vascular function induced vasodilator, and can be used to prevent hypoxia/anoxia allowing adequate perfusion to hearts promote cardioprotection.
