Аннотация

Cerebrofacial arteriovenous metameric syndrome (CAMS) is a rare, noninherited vascular malformation characterized by an arteriovenous malformation of the cerebral, orbital, and facial structures. Patients with CAMS often present with visual loss, progressive neurological deficits, seizures, and or bleeding. They may also present with cosmetic concerns such as skin discoloration, proptosis and facial asymmetry. Diagnosis of CAMS is based on history, clinical presentation, and findings on cerebral computed tomography and/or magnetic resonance imaging. We share a case of a young man who presented with mildly symptomatic right cerebrofacial arteriovenous malformation reported since childhood and imaging findings consistent with CAMS. We also provide a brief literature review and comparison of reported cases of CAMS. This paper underscores the significance of recognizing the vascular manifestations in patients with CAMS. Further research on the presentation and diagnosis of CAMS is critical to provide evidence-based treatment options to improve outcomes.
