Those who stand to benefit most from walking are at greatest risk. Development of practical clinical tools to more precisely quantify neuromuscular function and link it to mobility outcomes will help clinicians target interventions toward those at risk for falls. Electrodiagnosis, with inclusion of several newer techniques, serves as a promising tool for objective evaluation of distal neuromuscular function.
