Аннотация
Actinomycosis is a subacute to chronic bacterial infection. Central nervous system (CNS) involvement is very rare. Clinical symptoms are nonspecific and vary depending on the topography and number of lesions. Cross-sectional imaging assists in both the positive and topographic diagnosis, and the assessment of locoregional aggressiveness may help identify the portal of entry. We present a case of cerebellar actinomycosis in a 52-year-old female patient. The diagnosis was suggested by brain MRI and confirmed by histopathological examination. This case highlights the possibility of CNS involvement by actinomycosis and the diversity of its imaging appearances.
