Study on the treatment of permanent molars affected by molar-incisor hypomineralisation: survey of Mexican dentists.

AIM: The present study describes the therapeutic options for first permanent molars with hypomineralisation among Mexican dentists.

METHODS

We used a cross-sectional design in which we surveyed Mexican dentists through an electronic questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of 20 questions, divided into two sections. The first section collected demographic data. The second section consisted of eight questions and focused on presenting a clinical MIH case documented with photographs and radiograph.

CONCLUSION

Despite the high incidence of MIH in Mexico, the surveyed dentists showed deficiencies in terms of the knowledge that should accompany clinical competence for the treatment of molars with MIH.
