Аннотация
During the operation of abdominal pregnancy the placenta was left in the patient's abdominal cavity. Six years later the patient was again operated on for a swelling in the lower part of the abdomen where a cavity full of pus and the remains of placental tissue was found. In the authors' opinion, the abscess appears to have been causally connected with the necrosis of the non-resorbed placenta.
