Аннотация

Posterior circumflex humeral artery (PCHA) aneurysms are rare, with only 52 documented cases. They are often diagnosed in athletic individuals who participate in sports requiring repetitive overhead motion. We report a case of a 55-year-old man who developed axillary pain and a perceptible mass after playing volleyball. Intraoperatively, the patient was found to have a PCHA pseudoaneurysm and underwent open surgical excision with primary repair of the axillary artery. Despite increased recognition, PCHA aneurysms remain largely underdiagnosed. Heightened awareness may reduce diagnostic delays and help prevent serious complications, such as limb-threatening ischemia.
