Аннотация

Social inequities in neonatal care delivery contribute to adverse neonatal outcomes, which continue to have harmful effects throughout the lifespan. Social inequities occur at multiple intersecting levels, including race, ethnicity, income, nativity, language, and others. The etiologies of social inequities are multifactorial, intersect, and involve racism and adverse social drivers of health. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) provides guidance for pediatric health care professionals to recognize and mitigate the effects of poverty and racism in several other reports. This clinical report focuses on how this guidance applies to health care professionals of high-risk neonates.
