Аннотация
INTRODUCTION: Agranulocytosis or allergic skin reactions are common side effects of antithyroid drugs. Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated vasculitis is very uncommon.
CASE REPORT: We report a 29-year-old woman treated with propylthiouracil for Graves' disease who developed a vasculitic skin involvement. ANCA with antimyeloperoxidase specificity were documented. Symptoms resolved after discontinuation of the drug.
CONCLUSION: ANCA associated vasculitis is an unusual complication of propylthiouracil. Prognosis is conditioned by renal and pulmonary involvement.
