Electrochemical sensing interface for detecting sulfonamide drug associated with tachycardia adverse effect using a rare earth vanadate modified electrode.
Аннотация
Antibiotics, particularly synthetic sulfonamides (Sas) drugs, have been utilized in veterinary treatment and animal feeds since the 1950s due to their affordable price and broad-ranging antibacterial properties. To ensure food safety, SAs must be detected in food matrices as they are potentially carcinogenic. This work is the first effective preparation of cerium vanadate (CeVO4) nanoparticles using simple hydrothermal methods for the electrochemical detection of Sulfadiazine (SF). The CeVO4-modified electrode has a high detection capability and remarkable electrocatalytic activity. Notably, the CeVO4-modified electrode as-fabricated with a linear detection range of 0.001-1521.18 μM, and a limit of detection of 0.0017 μM. The greater active surface area of 0.317 cm2, it enhanced electrical conductivity, and physicochemical composition of the suggested CeVO4-based sensors may all contribute to their improved performance. The significant improvement in the electrocatalytic performances of the SF sensors in comparison to the previous literature demonstrates the significance of the newly designed CeVO4-modified electrode. The real-sample diagnostic employing SF detection in an milk and honey samples demonstrates the recommended CeVO4-based sensors with a good recovery range.
