Аннотация

Formaldehyde is a common indoor organic pollutant and primarily emitted from materials such as artificial panels and wall coatings, posing significant risks to human health. Therefore, it is of practical significance to develop novel materials for efficient removal of indoor formaldehyde. Prussian blue analogs (PBA), which possess desirable properties such as high tunability, multifunctionality, large specific surface area, and environmental friendliness, show great potential in formaldehyde removal applications. However, PBA is crystalline powders, which complicates recycling and makes them more susceptible to contamination during use, limiting their practical applications. In this work, graft-growth of CoCo-PBA on bamboo (CoP@B) was synthesized by leveraging bamboo's natural porous structure and resource abundance. CoCo-PBA nanoparticles were loaded onto the micro-nano hierarchical pores of bamboo through a solution blending method. The results showed that CoCo-PBA were successfully anchored to the conduits of bamboo though coordinate bonds and van der Waals forces. In addition, the CoP@B exhibited excellent formaldehyde adsorption and catalytic properties with a formaldehyde removal rate of up to 45 %. Furthermore, the CoP@B proved remarkable dimensional stability performance and the formaldehyde removal efficiency formaldehyde degradation rate only decreased by 4 % after 5 cycles of performance testing. The formaldehyde removal mechanism suggested that the structure of CoP@B facilitated the adsorption and mass transfer of formaldehyde molecules, thus enhancing the formaldehyde removal performance. Therefore, this study demonstrates the potential of bamboo-based composites for indoor formaldehyde adsorption. It also provides a theoretical foundation for industrialization and practical applications in indoor environmental remediation. Additionally, this work offered new insights into the development of innovative materials for indoor formaldehyde removal.
