Bladder Cancer and Vesical Imaging-Reporting and Data System: An Updated Review.

Bladder cancer is a prevalent malignancy with a significant societal burden. Treatment strategies and prognosis are largely determined by the degree of local tumor invasion into the bladder wall. The Vesical Imaging-Reporting and Data System (VI-RADS) is a standardized, MR imaging-based scoring system specifically designed to assess muscular invasion in bladder cancer. VI-RADS effectively differentiates between nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer and muscle-invasive bladder cancer. By providing an accurate and non-invasive evaluation of tumor depth, location, and stage, VI-RADS facilitates effective management of patients with bladder cancer.
