Аннотация
This report presents a unique case of gonococcal peritonitis complicated by an intraperitoneal abscess and pleural effusion in a 52-year-old woman with liver cirrhosis. No bacteriologically confirmed genital infection was identified, and the route of infection could not be established. This rare presentation of gonococcal peritonitis was successfully managed with repeated drainage procedures and 6 weeks of targeted antimicrobial therapy.
