Аннотация
Difluoromethyl compounds have attracted significant interest due to their distinct and underexplored physicochemical characteristics. Here, a method was developed for synthesizing 3-difluoromethyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-thiones through the cyclization of aroylhydrazides. The process employs inexpensive TMSCF3 as a difluoromethylation reagent and nontoxic elemental sulfur as a sulfurizing agent. Preliminary bioactivity evaluation indicated that most of the synthesized compounds possess certain potential anticancer activity.
