PPIs Have It: Does Tegoprazan Affect Gastric Emptying and Produce Dyspeptic Symptoms?

The potassium-competitive acid blockers (P-CABs) are a novel class of potent antisecretory drugs that unlike the proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are not dependent on activated proton pumps, acting near maximally from the first dose, a pharmacokinetic advantage over PPIs. Tegoprazan, a novel P-CAB, offers potent and rapid acid suppression without delaying gastric emptying, distinguishing it from PPIs.
