Аннотация

Healthcare systems face rising demand from aging populations and chronic disease while the healthcare workforce is itself aging and under strain. Employer-based workplace screening may identify unmet health needs, but its value depends on reliable linkage to continuing care and iterative use if aggregated, de-identified data. Drawing on Singapore General Hospital's 2024 mass health screening programme, a rapid review of relevant policy and literature, and multidisciplinary expert input, this policy brief reconceptualizes employer-based screening as the entry point to an integrated, longitudinal occupational health strategy. Six priorities are proposed in this policy brief: integration with national preventive and primary care pathways; evidence-based and equitably financed screening and follow-up; data-informed workforce planning; worker-centered design; preventive oral health; and health promotion beyond screening. We also highlight transferable principles beyond the Singaporean context that may be applied to other health systems.
