Аннотация
The article enumerates 110 fundamentals related to performance validity tests (PVTs) in forensic neuropsychological assessment. PVTs typically measure the degree of underperformance by examinees, which calls into question the validity of other neuropsychological tests when they are failed by examinees in multivariate assessment. PVTs do not yet have an integrated account of their basis, concepts, and research, which is undertaken here. In the article, the fundamentals are explained, with the sources for their elucidation described in the first three articles of the present five-article series. The 110 PVT fundamentals are organized into two major sections: The first section contains 55 of the 110 PVT fundamentals, with other sections containing the other 55 fundamentals. The first section is referred to as PVT basics, and it has eight subsections: PVT nature; malingering/invalid response set; applications; criteria; research; sources; types; and other. The next 55 fundamentals are organized into sections on: symptom validity tests (SVTs); testing the tests; statistics; grouping; research; practice; and miscellaneous (subsections on court; causality, and incorrect fundamentals that are passé, for example, referring to PVTs as invalid).
