Аннотация
Several intravenous (IV) iron formulations are used in adolescents for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and iron deficiency (ID). Ferric derisomaltose (FDI) is a formulation that has not been well studied. This study reports retrospective real-world use and response in adolescent patients at a single tertiary hospital receiving IV FDI. There were 36 total infusions studied, with two infusion reactions and no cases of anaphylaxis. There was an average increase of 3.0 g/dL hemoglobin in patients with IDA and 224.7 g/L in ferritin for ID patients. Our data suggest a similar tolerance and response to that of adults.
