Аннотация
Vascular lesions of the uterus are rare, yet remain a potential differential diagnosis for the etiologies of postmenopausal bleeding. Hemangiomas of the uterus are benign neoplasms that can occur in any age group, with a predilection for reproductive age females. It is a benign vascular tumor and should be kept as a differential diagnosis for uterine endometrial mass lesions. Conservative management, such as local excision and laser ablation may help avoid unnecessary hysterectomy in such patients. We report the rare case of a 52-year-old postmenopausal woman who presented with a mass protruding into the vagina associated with bleeding and discharge and was suspected of having an endometrial malignancy that was finally diagnosed as a large endometrial polypoidal hemangiomatous polyp on histopathology. This case report underscores the importance of considering hemangiomatous lesions in the differential diagnosis of uterine polypoidal mass lesions for appropriate management.
