[Clinical file way for use of phototherapy in newborns having a gestational age superior to 35 weeks].

Clinical file way consists of a written document which reflects a procedural sequence, based on protocols and recommendations. This way enables improving the treatment/care provided, decreasing the variability in clinical practice; this method must be adapted to the medium where it is to be employed and to the new scientific evidence on which it is based, which allows a medical team to apply actions to improve treatment. The authors describe a clinical file way for a newborn older than 35 weeks in gestation, who requires phototherapy treatment, in the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit at the John XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona.
