Аннотация

Preventing and delaying skin aging has become an important field of medical research. Deer antler velvet is rich in bioactive constituents that promote tissue growth, including proteins, peptides, amino acids, and other organic and inorganic compounds. Studies have found that the active ingredients such as peptides and collagen in deer antler velvet not only significantly promote the proliferation of skin cells and repair of skin wounds but also exhibit anti-aging, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. Distinct from single-component systems, we developed novel composite hydrogels by integrating pilose antler protein with hyaluronic acid and evaluated their physicochemical properties, in vitro biological properties and biocompatibility. To assess efficacy of deer antler hydrogel in skin repair, we established murine models of mechanical barrier injury and UVB-induced photoaging. And we found the deer antler hydrogel has significant antioxidant activity, potent antibacterial action, and enhanced moisturizing capacity. The purpose of this study is to provide a scientific foundation for applying deer antler velvet in skin repair and support further development of functional products.
