Аннотация
Guanidine-containing molecules represent a versatile class of nitrogen-rich compounds with unique structural and physicochemical features that underpin a wide spectrum of biomedical applications. Their capacity to engage in non-covalent interactions and function as superbases has established them as pivotal components in medicinal chemistry and drug design. This review provides a comprehensive overview of guanidine-based structures, with a particular focus on oncology, covering clinically approved drugs, agents currently in clinical trials, and emerging candidates in preclinical development. By integrating fundamental chemistry with translational applications, this work underscores the continuing potential of guanidine scaffolds to inspire innovative therapeutic strategies against cancer.
