Аннотация

Nicotinic acid (NA), a derivative of pyridine carboxylic acid, is a natural compound found in the vitamin B complex. It serves as an essential nutrient for humans and animals and is widely recognized for its role as an antilipidemic agent. This study aims to report on the development of a highly sensitive electrochemical sensor for the detection of NA using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with nickel‑aluminum layer double hydroxide (NiAl-LDH). The synthesized nanocomposite material was characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Moreover, the cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) were used to systematically evaluate electrochemical performance. Under standard conditions, the sensor achieved a low detection limit of 0.0223 μM (linear range: 0.1 to 60 μM. These results suggest that modified electrodes have rapid and sensitive platform for routine NA monitoring in food products.
