Efficacy and Safety of Dotinurad in Patients with Advanced Chronic Kidney Disease.
Аннотация
Objective Hyperuricemia is associated with cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Dotinurad is a new uricosuric drug that has not been evaluated in clinical trials in patients with advanced CKD (CKD G3b-G5). This study evaluated the efficacy of dotinurad in lowering serum uric acid levels, its safety profile, and its effect on the renal function in hyperuricemic patients with CKD G3b to G5. Methods This was a single-center retrospective observational study. Patients Fourteen patients with CKD G3b to G5 who received dotinurad in the outpatient clinic and for whom data were available for six months before and after treatment were enrolled in this study. Serum uric acid levels six months after treatment and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) six months before and after treatment were evaluated. Results Serum uric acid levels significantly decreased from 8.2 (8.0-8.5) mg/dL to 6.2 (5.9-7.2) mg/dL six months after treatment (p<0.01). The eGFR was 25.4 (19.4-40.6) mL/min/1.73 m2 6 months before treatment and 24.9 (18.3-35.5) mL/min/1.73 m2 at the time of treatment, but 24.4 (19.2-36.4) mL/min/1.73 m2 at 6 months after treatment, with no significant change noted. No adverse events were observed. Conclusion Dotinurad can safely lower serum uric acid levels in hyperuricemic patients with advanced CKD.
