Аннотация
This brief report outlines the history of rabies incidence and its control in animals within the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it provides information on laboratory diagnostic options for post-mortem examination of brain tissue to detect the rabies virus, which are available in the Czech Republic. It also summarizes the recommended procedures to be followed when a laboratory investigation of the central nervous system for rabies is indicated in an animal.
