Limbic Encephalitis in Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody-associated Disease: A Case Report and Literature Review.
Аннотация
Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is a clinically diverse, demyelinating, and neuroinflammatory disorder of the central nervous system. We herein describe a case of MOGAD manifesting as limbic encephalitis (LE), characterized by a unilateral medial temporal lesion on magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. Electroencephalography (EEG) revealed sharp waves and occasional slow-wave activity in the bilateral parietal and occipitotemporal regions. The presence of imaging abnormalities characteristic of MOGAD and EEG abnormalities not typical of other autoimmune LE may provide valuable clues for the accurate diagnosis and optimal management of patients with MOG-associated LE.
