Аннотация
A rare case of suspected occupational mpox infection occurred in a registered nurse who developed laboratory-confirmed disease despite strict adherence to full personal protective equipment and isolation precautions while caring for a suspected mpox patient. Retrospective review, staff interviews, and public health collaboration identified no clear breach in infection prevention practices, suggesting possible doffing-related or unrecognized exposure. This case highlights persistent transmission risk to healthcare workers and reinforces the importance of meticulous personal protective equipment removal and CDC-recommended self-monitoring.
