Аннотация
Radiology is among the most energy- and resource-intensive areas of health care, creating both a responsibility and an opportunity to advance environmental sustainability. Establishing a structured, multidisciplinary Radiology Green Team provides a practical framework for coordinating, implementing, and measuring sustainable imaging practices across clinical operations. This article outlines a step-by-step approach to forming a Radiology Green Team, prioritizing readiness assessment, stakeholder engagement, charter development, and the identification of early, achievable, high-impact projects for lasting success. Strategies are described for embedding sustainability within existing quality and safety frameworks, maintaining engagement through visible results, and aligning departmental initiatives with institutional priorities. This article emphasizes tracking key metrics, such as energy use and waste reduction, to quantify impact and value. Common barriers, including limited resources and competing clinical demands, are addressed alongside facilitators such as leadership support, cost savings, and recognition programs. Practical tools, including a readiness self-assessment, stakeholder map, and example sustainability metrics, are provided to support immediate implementation. This adaptable framework enables radiology departments of any size or setting, including academic, community, and outpatient settings, to build capacity for environmental stewardship and contribute meaningfully to health system decarbonization.
