[Potential Assessment of Carbon and Air Pollutant Emission Reduction in Industrial Parks of Henan Province].

Industrial parks are important engines of economic development and also a focus area for addressing climate change pressures and air pollution control. To explore the pathway for green and low-carbon transformation of industrial parks， 11 national industrial parks in Henan Province were selected as the research objects， and carbon and air pollutant emission inventories at the park level were established to analyze the emission characteristics. The potential for reducing air pollutant and carbon emissions in representative parks was explored through the four pathways of clean energy substitution， energy efficiency improvement， industrial structure adjustment， and end-of-pipe control. The results showed that the total carbon and air pollutant emissions from the parks were large， and coal combustion in energy types and energy-intensive industries in the industrial sector were the main emission sources， accounting for 62% and 76% of the total carbon emissions， respectively. Power plants were the main contributors of SO2 and NOx， while industrial process sources were the main sources of CO， PM10， PM2.5， VOCs， and NH3. Scenario analysis showed that the green and low-carbon transformation of energy infrastructure should be given special attention， and energy efficiency improvement measures are important short-term emission reduction measures for industrial parks. This study provides reference for the green development of industrial parks.
